While working at Independence Blue Cross, I had the opportunity to design the formal invitations to the 2017 William Penn Award gala. The Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia approached my team seeking an elaborate, well-designed package that celebrated our CEO. Philadelphia is known for its Art Deco architecture and we wanted to draw inspiration from that style for the print pieces. The die-cut heavy linen shell adorned with gold foil stamping housed the suite of invite information printed on Shine Pearl Reich Paper. In contrast to the typical corporate design at IBX, this was a chance to utilize less conventional printing methods and materials. It was a joy to create, and felt premium and exclusive in-hand, exactly what the Chamber was looking to elicit.
