New Life Ministries is a Christian Reformed church whose mission statement is “a community of love, committed to knowing God and making Him known.” They wanted an inviting logo that conveyed a message to an audience seeking a growing community and a relationship with God.

After several rounds of concept presentations and discussions with the client, we came to the idea of “rooted” and how important that single word is to the brand. The client also wanted to incorporate the design of the building: the steepled roof or iconic red mailbox. This became the single biggest design challenge.
Below are some attempts at incorporating the façade of the congregation’s building into the logomark.
